My name is Gabriela, but please feel free to call me Gabby! I have worked in early childhood education for over 5 years now. During this time, I have enjoyed working in a variety of childcare environments, which has given me well-rounded experience I look forward to taking into this new
role. A little background on myself—I began my schooling in early childhood education at Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire. I graduated with my associate degree in May of 2014, and from there went on to obtain my bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from UW-River Falls in August of 2018. Realizing how the world of childcare and education is constantly evolving, I am always learning something new to better myself and ultimately provide better education services to the children in my care. I am looking forward to working to establish positive relationships with all parents and families.
I’ve been working at Little Sprouts for about a year and a half. I started out as an Assistant in the Mini Room and now worked my way up to Assistant Director. I have always had a passion for teaching working with kids! I am originally from Edgerton, Wisconsin and moved up to the Eau Claire area about two and a half years ago. I attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Master’s degree in Higher Education Professional Development. While earning these degrees, I had the opportunity to take on different leadership roles including coaching, tutoring, student advising, and engaging in administrative duties. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to take over this important position and continue helping Little Sprouts grow its roots in this community. I’m excited to work alongside Ms. Gabby and share our talents with you and the staff.
I became a part of the Little Sprouts family, Burnsville in June looking forward to the Center opening late summer. I’ve over 20 years’ experience as an Educator and an additional 10 plus years in Educational Leadership roles. I’m actively involved on the Board of Directors of SciMathMN working alongside the MN Department of Education. My knowledge with Early Childhood Education comes from many years of learning through play with children ages 33 months – 16 years. I enjoy working with children because of their honesty and fearlessness. Oh and their imaginations! When I have free time I like to be outdoors and kayak with my husband, kids and friends & walk along river/forest trails with our family dog, Sadie.
I am eagerly anticipating the journey of being an intricate part of your children’s future. I love to see the look on their little faces when they learn something new. I am also looking forward to meeting the parents of all the children that I will serve and developing a positive close knit relationship with every single one of you.
